ACCEL shorty spark plugs are 3/16 in. to 3/8 in. shorter overall, depending on the plug. The shorter length opens up the air gap between the spark plug boot and the exhaust manifold or header tube. That room is intended to help prevent a burned boot or a dimpled header tube. The shorter body can also ease installation and removal where there is little space for a socket or wrench.

• Copper core: Copper is a better conductor than platinum or iridium. The core is designed to deliver a strong spark, especially under high combustion pressures. It also dissipates heat well, which helps lessen the chance of a misfire.
• Gapable: Open the gap for a larger flame kernel, or close it if needed for high-boost use. The listed gap size is 0.035 in.
• Machine-rolled threads: For more precise thread engagement and torque retention.
• Specs: 14mm thread, .375 in. reach, heat range 6, flat/gasket seat, 13/16 in. hex, projected tip, resistor, C-cut ground electrode.
