This heat exchanger routes coolant through its core so heat drawn off the drive-motor inverter is shed to passing air, helping hold the inverter's coolant at its proper operating temperature. It's a direct-fit replacement for the 2005-2008 Ford Escape (L4-2.3L), 2009-2012 Ford Escape (L4-2.5L), 2008 Mazda Tribute (L4-2.3L), 2009-2010 Mazda Tribute (L4-2.5L), 2006-2008 Mercury Mariner (L4-2.3L) and 2009-2011 Mercury Mariner (L4-2.5L).

Construction: plastic tank with an aluminum single-row core.
