Keep the fuel tank securely cradled against the underbody with the Agility Auto Parts Fuel Tank Strap (MPN 4040445). It's a direct-fit replacement for a wide range of Volkswagen applications — including the 1995-1999 VW Cabrio, 1993 VW Cabriolet, 1990-1991 VW Corrado, 1985-1999 VW Golf and 1985-1999 VW Jetta across the L4-1.6L, L4-1.8L, L4-1.9L, L4-2.0L and V6-2.8L engines. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full application list.

A fuel tank strap clamps the tank to the chassis; rust and metal fatigue let it loosen or fail, which can allow the tank to sag or shift. Signs it may need replacing include a corroded or cracked strap, rattling from the tank area, or a tank that hangs unevenly.
