Anchor Engine Mount P/N:2843
Anchor Engine Mount P/N:2843
$11.99

Quiet powertrain vibration and keep the engine located with the Anchor Engine Mount 2843, the rear, rear lower mount for the 1997-2003 Ford Escort and 1997-1999 Mercury Tracer (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment). It helps support and locate the powertrain while isolating vibration and limiting engine movement, so the rubber does the work your worn factory mount no longer can.

  • Purpose-built rubber: Only natural and Styrene Butadiene rubber is used, so it resists wear and stays stable as it ages for long service life.
  • Strong rubber-to-metal bond: Chemlock® bonding agent is used to ensure a superior rubber-to-metal bond.
  • Application-tuned hardness: The rubber is manufactured to a specific Durometer (hardness) based on the vehicle application requirements.
  • OE-standard engineering: Engineered and designed to OE standards using a CAD/CAM process for consistency and quality.

Any included fasteners are hardened steel with heat-treated Grade #5 bolts. Signs this mount may need replacing include engine vibration at idle, clunking on acceleration, deceleration or shifting, and cracked or separated rubber. If a worn rear, rear lower mount is the cause, this replaces it.
