Anchor Engine Mount P/N:2999
Anchor Engine Mount P/N:2999

Tame powertrain vibration and keep the engine properly located with the Anchor Engine Mount 2999, the front right mount that bolts in as a direct-fit replacement for the 1996-2001 Ford Explorer and 1997-2001 Mercury Mountaineer (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment). It supports the engine and dampens vibration so movement is limited and noise stays out of the cabin.

  • Engineered to OE standards: designed using a CAD/CAM engineering process for consistent quality.
  • Durable rubber: molded from natural and Styrene Butadiene rubber that resists wear and stays stable as it ages for long service life.
  • Strong rubber-to-metal bond: Chemlock® bonding agent is used for a superior bond between the rubber and metal.
  • Application-tuned hardness: the rubber is manufactured to a specific Durometer (hardness) based on the vehicle application; any included fasteners are hardened steel with heat-treated Grade 5 bolts.

This mount helps support and locate the powertrain while isolating vibration and limiting movement. Signs the original may need replacing include clunking on acceleration, deceleration, or shifting, vibration at idle, and cracked or separated rubber. If a worn engine mount is the cause, this replaces it.
