As a mount, it helps support and locate the powertrain while isolating vibration and limiting engine movement. Signs a mount may need replacing include added vibration at idle, a clunk on acceleration, deceleration or shifting, and cracked or separated rubber. Any included fasteners are hardened steel with heat-treated Grade 5 bolts; consult the vehicle service information for the correct fasteners and whether they may be reused.
