Rear Crankshaft Seal Kit for 1998-2008 Toyota Corolla & More - APEX ABS855

Keep engine oil sealed at the back of the crankshaft with the APEX Automobile Parts Inc Engine Crankshaft Seal Kit (MPN ABS855). This rear main seal set drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the listed 1.8L four-cylinder applications, sealing the rear crankshaft bore where the crank exits the block so oil stays inside the engine.

• Rear crankshaft sealing: Positioned at the REAR of the engine, it seals the rear main crankshaft area to help contain engine oil.
• Stationary lip seal: The seal body stays fixed while its lip rides against the rotating crankshaft — a common oil-leak wear point over high mileage.
• Sold as a set: Supplied as a rear main seal set; one set covers each listed application.

Signs this part may need replacing include oil seepage or drips at the back of the engine near the bell housing and oil pooling below the transmission bell area. If a worn or hardened rear main seal is the cause of your leak, this set replaces it; diagnose the source of the leak before ordering. Package quantity is one set per application.

Interchange: Manufacturer part number ABS855.
