Engineered in the USA, the Arnott-designed strut features a custom-made and tuned premium monotube shock absorber. It is intended to address many common high-wear weaknesses of the original strut, including the leaky upper seal, the noisy upper mount and the weak lower rubber seal.

Signs a rear air strut may need replacing include:
- The rear sitting low after the car has been parked.
- An audible air leak.
- The air compressor running more often than usual.
- A bouncy ride.
Other air suspension components can cause similar symptoms, so diagnose the cause before replacing. For best results, Arnott recommends replacing both rear struts at the same time.
