Arnott Industries Air Suspension Strut P/N:AS-3161

Designed for a comfortable, yet responsive, ride, the Arnott Industries AS-3161 Air Suspension Strut is a complete, new front left assembly built with OE-quality components. It replaces the worn OE front left strut on the 2014-2017 Mercedes-Benz S550, 2014-2018 Mercedes-Benz S500, 2017 Mercedes-Benz Maybach S550, 2017-2018 Mercedes-Benz S500L, 2018-2020 Mercedes-Benz Maybach S560, 2018-2020 Mercedes-Benz S450 and 2018-2021 Mercedes-Benz S560. It fits vehicles equipped with AIRMATIC and 4MATIC, without ABC, and excludes AMG models.

Arnott pairs a custom-tuned monotube Eibach shock absorber with a Continental ContiTech multi-ply air spring sleeve. The assembly is finished with Arnott's long-lasting seals, a stamped steel top, a CNC-machined base, heavy-duty crimping rings and an airline fitting.

• ContiTech air spring sleeve: The Continental ContiTech sleeve is specified for enhanced strength and extended service life.
• Custom-valved Eibach shock: The monotube Eibach unit is tuned for a comfortable, yet responsive, ride.
• Adaptive-to-passive: This strut converts adaptive to passive.
• Pre-assembled: The strut arrives assembled for easy installation.

The strut is designed, assembled and tested in the USA.

Signs an air strut may need replacing include:

• the front left corner sagging after the vehicle sits
• a hissing air leak
• the air compressor running more often than normal
• a bouncy ride

These signs can have other causes, so diagnose the system before replacing parts. If a leaking or worn strut is the cause, this assembly replaces it. For best results, Arnott recommends replacing the struts in pairs. See the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-specific fitment.
