A rack may need replacing if you notice power steering fluid leaking at the rack, heavy or uneven steering effort, or looseness or noise when turning. Diagnose the cause first. If the rack is at fault, this rack and pinion assembly replaces it. For proper operation, AAE recommends flushing and filling the steering system with OE-approved power steering fluid.
