ATP Engine Harmonic Balancer P/N:102163
ATP 102167 harmonic balancer for the 2001-2005 Honda Civic 4-cylinder 1.7L and other vehicles absorbs crankshaft vibrations.
Over time the rubber or fluid layer of an engine harmonic balancer deteriorates. The outer pulley can then shift forward and pull the belt out of line, which can ultimately result in crankshaft failure. A broken balancer must be replaced. These signs alone do not prove the balancer is the problem, since a worn belt tensioner can also misalign a belt.
This balancer fits the 2001-2005 Honda Civic 4-cylinder 1.7L and the 2001-2005 Acura EL 4-cylinder 1.7L, and each takes one. It fits and functions like the original part.
