Quick facts
- Part: Beck/Arnley 131-2259 water pump
- Also called: engine water pump
- Fits: 1999-2005 Hyundai Sonata 4-cylinder 2.4L and other vehicles
- Condition: New
A worn engine water pump can show up as coolant stains near the pump, a whining or grinding bearing noise, or an engine that runs hot. A hose, the radiator or the thermostat can produce similar symptoms, so with the engine off and cool, look around the pump for crusty coolant residue before you replace anything. A shop can pressure-test the system if the cause is still unclear.
Fits
The 1999-2005 Hyundai Sonata 4-cylinder 2.4L takes one water pump.
