The bellows boot covers the left end of the rack and inner tie rod, keeping out dirt, water, and debris while holding lubricating grease around the joint. A cracked, torn, or grease-slinging boot lets contaminants reach the rack and tie-rod, so if a failed left-side boot is the cause, this kit replaces it with the boot and clamps needed to reseal it.
