Rear Brake Pad for 2007-2018 BMW X5 & More - Bosch BC1042

Help keep rear braking quiet with the Bosch brake pad BC1042. This QuietCast rear disc brake pad set pairs a copper-free friction formula with pre-attached multilayer shims. It fits many vehicles, among them the 2008-2019 BMW X6, 2007-2018 BMW X5 and 2008-2010 BMW 528i, as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list.

Bosch QuietCast brake pads build on the brand's OE braking heritage, which dates back to 1927. Bosch's engineers formulated and tested the friction material for braking performance.

• Copper-free formula: The patented copper-free friction formula uses an advanced aerospace alloy and is compliant with 2025 Copper Free legislation.
• OE-style rubber core shim: Pre-attached multilayer shims bond rubber to steel. This helps lower noise and adds strength and corrosion resistance.
• PTFE and rubber coated hardware: Reduces vibration and noise while helping prevent binding to the caliper.
• Powder-coated backing plate: Helps prevent rust and corrosion to increase the life of the brake pad.

A protective transfer layer is designed to extend pad and rotor life. Bosch includes synthetic lubricant in all applications to help reduce resistance at the sliding contact points. If worn rear pads are the cause of squealing, grinding or longer stops, this set replaces them.
