Long cranking, hesitation, a whine from the tank or stalling can be signs of a worn fuel pump. Before you replace the module, rule out a blown fuse, a failed relay and damaged wiring, since each of those can mimic a failing pump. If a worn pump is the cause, this module replaces it.
