Keep brake fluid pressure reaching the front left brake with the Sunsong brake hose, part number 2204385A. This front left brake hydraulic hose is a direct-fit replacement for the 2002-2005 Dodge Ram 1500. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine and trim details.
Sunsong is a vertically integrated manufacturer that researches, develops and builds automotive fluid transfer hoses and lines. It designs its products around what the installer needs, with the aim of delivering exact form, fit and function.
- Standards: Meets or exceeds DOT, Federal Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS 106) and SAE J1401 standards.
- Zinc-plated steel tubing: The tubing is made from high-grade steel and electroplated with a zinc coating. The coating resists corrosion and rust from high humidity, road salt, water and grime.
- Hardware as required: Brackets, grommets, molded plastic guards, wire clips and protective sleeves are included where the application calls for them. Hoses with banjo end fittings come with new copper washers for proper sealing.
- Pressure tested: Every hose goes through a high-pressure quality assurance test before it leaves the factory.
A brake hydraulic hose is the flexible link that carries fluid pressure to the brake while the suspension and steering move. Signs it may need replacing include cracking, bulging, or brake fluid seeping at the hose or its fittings, and a soft or spongy brake pedal. Diagnose the cause before replacing the hose, and bleed the brake system after installation as the vehicle service information directs.
