Sunsong is a vertically integrated manufacturer that researches, develops and builds automotive fluid transfer hoses and lines. It designs its products around what installers need, with the goal of going beyond industry quality standards to deliver exact form, fit and function.
- Precision fit: Each hose is engineered to exact fit. It comes with brackets, grommets, molded plastic guards, wire clips and protective sleeves as the application requires, so the wearable pieces are renewed along with the hose.
- Standards: Meets or exceeds DOT FMVSS 106 and SAE J1401 brake hose standards.
- Corrosion protection: Sunsong makes its tubing from high-grade steel. The tubing is electroplated with zinc to resist rust and corrosion from high humidity, road salt, water and grime.
- Pressure tested: Every hose goes through a high-pressure quality assurance test before it leaves the factory. Hoses with banjo end fittings include new copper washers for proper sealing.
A brake hose is the flexible link between the vehicle's rigid brake line and the brake at the wheel. It carries hydraulic pressure while allowing for suspension and steering movement. Signs this hose may need replacing include cracks, bulges or fluid seepage on the hose, or a soft, spongy brake pedal. Have the cause diagnosed before replacing parts.
