A disc brake caliper houses the piston that presses the pads against the rotor when you apply the brakes. Fluid seeping at the caliper, a seized or sticking piston, or uneven, dragging pad wear are signs the original may need replacing.
- Pistons: durable and resistant to cracking or pitting under heavy loads.
- Seals: replaced with new high-temperature EPDM rubber for extended life.
- Bleeder screws: new, for trouble-free bleeding and a positive seal.
- Finish & protection: treated with a specially formulated rust inhibitor and kept in the original-equipment finish, with a plastic cap plug protecting each brake port thread.
- Hardware: new banjo bolts, washers, stainless steel hardware clips, mounting pins, and a mounting bracket are included where applicable.
