This disc brake caliper ships unloaded, so brake pads are not included, and it comes with its mounting bracket. When you press the pedal, hydraulic pressure pushes the piston out and squeezes the pads against the rotor to slow the wheel. CARDONE remanufactures each caliper to strict quality and performance standards and fits it with brand-new components.

• Pressure-tested and resealed: Every unit is 100% pressure-tested. Its rubber seals are replaced with new high-temperature EPDM rubber.
• Load-bearing pistons: The pistons are durable, resist cracking and pitting, and are built to handle heavy loads.
• Corrosion protection: Each caliper is treated with a specially formulated rust inhibitor and kept in its original equipment finish.
• Ready to install: It comes with a new bleeder screw for trouble-free bleeding and a positive seal, plus a plastic cap plug that protects the brake port threads. New banjo bolts, washers, stainless steel hardware clips and mounting pins are included where applicable.

The caliper is sold individually as the rear left unit. Replacing both calipers on the axle together is recommended for even, balanced braking. CARDONE's remanufacturing process cuts the energy and raw material needed to make a new part by 80%.
