Description

Keep your rear drum brakes self-adjusting correctly with the Carlson Drum Brake Self-Adjuster Repair Kit H2626. It installs at the rear left drum brake as a direct-fit replacement for the 1985-1998 Buick Skylark, 1985-2000 Chevrolet Cavalier, 1985-1998 Pontiac Grand Am and many other GM models (see the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list). A drum brake's self-adjuster automatically takes up shoe-to-drum clearance as the linings wear; this kit replaces the worn or corroded hardware that keeps that automatic adjustment working.

Steel adjuster: the adjuster is made of steel to handle high brake-system stress.
Corrosion-resistant coating: a corrosion-resistant coating adds protection against harsh road conditions.
Kit contents: adjuster screw tip, lever head pivot sleeve, dust hole cover, left-hand (LH) lever, LH link, tapered spring, adjuster screw assembly and circlip washer.
OE quality: matches Original Equipment (OE) quality specifications so brake adjustments occur at the proper intervals.

If a seized or worn self-adjuster is the cause of a drum brake that needs frequent manual adjustment or a pedal that gradually sits lower, this kit replaces that hardware. Brakes work as a system, so inspect the related shoes, springs and drum during service. Country of origin: China.
