Carter Fuel Pump Strainer P/N:STS-319
Carter STS-121 fuel pump strainer for the 1997-2003 Ford F-150 V6 4.2L, V8 4.6L or 5.4L and other vehicles filters contaminants out of the fuel supply as a first line of defense.
A clogged or worn strainer can show up as hard starting, hesitation or low power, though a weak fuel pump, a restricted fuel filter or a wiring fault can look just the same. Before you replace the strainer, rule out those other fuel and electrical causes. These vehicles take one strainer apiece.
Other popular fits include the 1995-2000 Ford Explorer V6 4.0L, the 1996 Explorer V8 5.0L and the 1999 Ford F-250 V8 4.6L or 5.4L. If your truck, van or car isn't among them, open the "Vehicles it fits" section to check your exact model and engine.
