Cloyes Engine Timing Camshaft Sprocket P/N:S916T
Cloyes S1146 engine timing camshaft sprocket for the 2014-2021 Jeep Cherokee 4-cylinder 2.4L and other vehicles is driven by the timing chain and turns the camshaft to keep valve timing precise. It works with the chain, tensioners, guides and the other sprockets in the timing system.
Before you replace the sprocket, rule out a stretched chain, a worn tensioner or worn guides, since each can bring on a rattle or timing code of its own. A rattle from the timing area or a timing-related fault code can mean worn sprocket teeth. During timing service, replace the chain, tensioners and guides along with the sprockets. These engines take one sprocket.
This camshaft sprocket fits the 2014-2021 Jeep Cherokee 4-cylinder 2.4L, the 2017-2021 Jeep Compass 4-cylinder 2.4L and the 2015-2021 Jeep Renegade 4-cylinder 2.4L, along with many other vehicles. If your car is not one of these, look it up in the "Vehicles it fits" section, where the other vehicles are listed.
