Cloyes 9-0195SAX timing chain kit for the 2007-2012 Chevrolet Colorado 4-cylinder 2.9L or 5-cylinder 3.7L and other vehicles links the crankshaft to the camshaft so valve timing stays accurate. Also sold as an engine timing chain kit, it replaces the worn chain along with the sprockets, tensioners and guides the application calls for.
- Cloyes chains are pre-stressed and heat-treated
- Precision pitch control for chain-to-sprocket fit, to reduce noise and fatigue and keep timing accurate
- CAD-designed, heat-treated sprockets with precision-tooled tooth form, bore, off-set and timing index
- Chain guides give the timing chain a path between the crankshaft and camshaft, and some also apply tension
- Each part is tested for function, fitment and durability
Quick facts

A rattle from the front of the engine, a timing-related check engine light or rough running can go with a stretched chain or worn guides, though other faults produce the same signs. Chain slack cannot be judged from outside the engine, so let a shop confirm the timing chain is the cause before you order. Replace the timing components together as a set rather than one piece at a time.
Fits
This kit also fits the 2007-2012 GMC Canyon 4-cylinder 2.9L or 5-cylinder 3.7L and the 2007-2010 Hummer H3 5-cylinder 3.7L, at one kit per vehicle. If your vehicle is not named here, look up your own year and engine on the Buyer's Guide tab.
