Timing Chain Kit for 2002-2006 Ford F-150 & More - Cloyes 9-0387SG

Cloyes 9-0387SG timing chain kit for the 2002-2006 Ford F-150 V8 4.6L and other vehicles links the crankshaft to the camshaft to keep engine timing accurate. Sold as an engine timing chain kit, it replaces the timing drive parts together.

• Chains are pre-stressed and heat-treated
• Precision pitch control gives an exact chain-to-sprocket fit that reduces noise and fatigue and keeps timing accurate
• Sprockets are CAD designed and heat-treated, with precision-tooled tooth form, bore, off-set and timing index
• Chain guides give the timing chain a track and help keep the crankshaft and camshaft aligned
• Every part in the kit is tested for function, fitment and durability

A rattle from the timing area or a timing-related fault code can mean the chain, guides or tensioner are worn. Before replacing the kit, look at the engine oil for metal debris and at the timing area for leaks, with the engine off and cool. Other faults can produce these symptoms too, and a shop can test for chain stretch.
