Quick facts
- Part: Cloyes 9-0736SX timing chain kit
- Also called: engine timing chain kit
- Fits: 2009-2020 Dodge Journey 4-cylinder 2.4L and other vehicles
- Condition: New
A worn or stretched timing chain can show up as a rattle at start-up, a check engine light or rough running. Those signs alone do not prove the chain is the problem, since a faulty camshaft position sensor can set similar codes. Replace the chain, sprockets, tensioners and guides as a set rather than the chain alone. Each engine takes one kit.
Fits
The vehicles it fits include the 2007-2017 Jeep Compass 4-cylinder 2.0L or 2.4L and the 2007-2017 Jeep Patriot 4-cylinder 2.0L or 2.4L. Driving something else? Look up your year, model and engine in the "Vehicles it fits" section before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The chains are pre-stressed and heat-treated, and the sprockets are heat-treated too.
