- Chain guides give the chain a path between crankshaft and camshaft and are built for quiet operation
- Each part is tested for function, fitment and durability
Quick facts

A rattle at startup, a timing correlation code with the check engine light on, or rough running can mean the chain, guides or tensioner have worn. These signs alone do not prove the kit is the problem, since a faulty crankshaft or camshaft position sensor can set similar codes. Each of these engines takes one kit.

The kit also replaces the timing set on the 2014-2016 Hyundai Elantra 4-cylinder 2.0L and the 2017-2020 Kia Optima 4-cylinder 2.0L. Own a different car? Enter its year, make and model in the "Vehicles it fits" section to see whether this kit is listed for it.
