Dorman - HD Solutions Multi-Function Switch P/N:978-5409
Dorman 978-5412 multi-function switch for the 1988-1998 Peterbilt 378 and other vehicles operates the hazard lights and latching high beams from the console. It replaces a console switch that has failed from fatigue.
If the hazard lights or the high-beam latch stop responding, or the lever feels loose, a worn switch can be the reason. Before you replace the switch, rule out a blown fuse, a loose connector or damaged wiring, since the lights depend on those too.
This switch is a direct replacement for the 1988-1998 Peterbilt 378, the 1987-1998 Peterbilt 379 and the 1987-1994 Peterbilt 377, and each takes one. It is made to match the appearance and function of the original switch on these trucks.
