TrakMotive CH-8256 front CV axle shaft for the 2012-2021 Ram 1500 and other vehicles sends engine drive torque to the front wheel. Flexing joints at both ends let it keep driving the wheel as the suspension moves and the wheel steers.
A clicking noise in turns, vibration under acceleration or grease thrown from a split boot can be signs of a worn axle. These signs alone do not prove the axle is the problem, since a worn wheel bearing can also make noise.
It fits the 2012-2021 Ram 1500 and the 2019-2021 Ram 1500 Classic, and each takes two. This listing is one shaft, and both front sides are normally replaced together.
