Quiet steering vibration and hold your rack-and-pinion housing firmly in place with the Delphi Rack and Pinion Mount Bushing TD4585W. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for many vehicles, among them the 1985-2004 Ford Mustang, 1985-1986 Ford LTD, and 1985-1992 Lincoln Mark VII; see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
This mount bushing cushions the connection between the steering rack and its mounting point, locating the housing while damping the road and steering vibration that would otherwise transfer into the cabin. Delphi draws on its OE steering expertise for its aftermarket portfolio, and its dimensional and material analysis targets close compatibility between the OE and aftermarket part.
- Tested to the extreme: validated below -40°C and above 120°C and exposed to 720 hours of salt spray for OE performance.
- Reduced noise: manufactured to help reduce noise.
- Reduced vibration: built to help reduce vibration.
- Consistent life: manufactured for consistent, repeatable service.
If a worn, cracked, or deteriorated original bushing is behind loose or noisy steering, this replaces it and helps assist in restoring a smooth ride.
