Restore firm, even drum braking at the rear axle with the Dorman First Stop Drum Brake Wheel Cylinder W80148. This rear wheel cylinder drops in as a direct replacement for the 1976-1979 Chevrolet Chevette [All], which uses two per vehicle. It converts hydraulic brake-fluid pressure into the mechanical force that pushes the brake shoes out against the drum — if a leaking or seized original wheel cylinder is behind a soft pedal or fluid on the backing plate, this replaces it.

• Cast-iron body: 0.75 in. inside-diameter bore with a 3/8-24 in. inlet thread.
• EPDM rubber cups and boots: made with high-quality EPDM rubber for long-lasting sealing.
• Surface-tested bores: the bore is surface-tested to provide an optimal sealing surface for the pressure cups.
