Tailgate Support Cable for 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma - Dorman 38545

Keep your tailgate level and supported every time it drops open with the Dorman tailgate support cable, part number 38545 from the Dorman - HELP line. It is a direct-fit replacement for the 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma, built to fit and work like the original support cables on that truck.

A tailgate support cable holds the tailgate in its open position and carries its weight, so the gate stays level instead of dropping below horizontal. This Dorman cable measures 12-1/2 inches long.

• Direct replacement: Fits the listed application and helps keep the tailgate stable when it is lowered.
• Durable construction: Made from quality materials and intended for a long service life.
• Saves money: Offers quality at a competitive price and helps protect the tailgate from damage caused by a failed cable.
• Quality assured: Put through virtual testing for fit, function and durability over time.

Signs a support cable may need replacing include frayed or broken strands, a tailgate that sags or sits crooked when open, or a cable that has pulled loose. Consult the vehicle service information for the correct installation procedure and fasteners.
