Help keep the cab quiet and properly seated on the frame with the Dorman body mount 523-551. This front mount kit is a direct-fit replacement for the 2013-2018 Ram 1500 and the 2019-2024 Ram 1500 Classic. Worn body mounts can let the cab shift and pass road noise and vibration into the cabin. This vehicle-specific design is built to fit and work like the original equipment mount, and it comes with the hardware you need for the replacement.

A body mount sits between the frame and the body. It helps hold the body in its proper position and cushions the connection between the two, which helps keep frame vibration and harshness out of the cab. As a mount wears or collapses, the body can move more than it should. If a worn front mount is the cause of a clunk or a loose-feeling cab, this kit replaces it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which trucks does this Dorman body mount fit?

It is a direct-fit front body mount for the 2013-2018 Ram 1500 and the 2019-2024 Ram 1500 Classic. Check the Buyer's Guide tab for the details on your truck.

Are Dorman cab mounts the same thing as a body mount?

On a pickup, the mounts between the frame and the cab are commonly called cab mounts. This Dorman front body mount does that job, helping to locate the cab and isolate it from frame vibration.

Is mounting hardware included?

Yes. Dorman states that this body mount kit includes all the hardware required for the replacement.

What are signs a body mount may need replacing?

Signs include clunking or knocking over bumps, a cab that feels loose or shifts, more vibration or noise in the cabin, or a mount that looks collapsed or deteriorated. Inspect the mounts to confirm the cause first.

Has this body mount been tested?

Yes. Dorman says it has been tested to ensure proper fit and performance, and that it is designed to fit and function like the original equipment mount.
