The original engine oil cooler hose assembly on certain GM pickup trucks and SUVs is prone to premature failure when its inlet and outlet rubber hoses become brittle from heat and pressure, creating oil leaks or bursts that can cause catastrophic engine damage. This Dorman OE FIX cooler hose assembly features hoses constructed of more durable and flexible polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) tubing encased in braided stainless steel to ensure a more reliable and permanent repair. These upgraded hoses have been proven in performance tests to be four times stronger than the factory-style rubber lines and will stay flexible in temperatures as low as -50C.
