Dorman - OE Solutions Engine Timing Chain Tensioner P/N:420-123
Dorman 420-129 timing chain tensioner for the 2008-2017 Chevrolet Equinox 3.0L / 3.6L and other vehicles is a hydraulic unit that keeps tension on the timing chain.
A rattle from the timing chain area, or a timing-related warning light, can mean a worn engine timing chain tensioner. A stretched chain, worn guides or a tired sprocket can produce the same signs, so find out which part is at fault before you order.
This tensioner also fits the 2009-2022 Chevrolet Traverse 3.6L and the 2012-2020 Chevrolet Impala 3.6L, along with V6 Buick, Cadillac, GMC, Pontiac and Saturn models. If your car isn't named here, look it up on the Buyer's Guide tab by year and engine. A 2012-2020 Chevrolet Impala 3.6L takes one, and this package holds two.
