Dorman - OE Solutions Spare Tire Hoist P/N:924-513
If rust and corrosion have seized the hoist that holds your spare, the Dorman spare tire hoist, part number 924-633, is a direct replacement for the 2004-2007 Toyota Highlander, 2004-2006 Lexus RX330 and 2007-2009 Lexus RX350. This assembly raises, lowers and holds the spare tire in its stowed position. Dorman engineered it to match the original design on these vehicles.
A rusted-out hoist can stick or refuse to let the spare down when you need it. If a corroded hoist is the problem, this assembly replaces the stock unit. The replacement has a special coating to help resist future rust and corrosion.
See the Buyer's Guide tab for full application details.

Is this the right spare tire hoist for a 2004-2007 Toyota Highlander?
Dorman 924-633 is listed as a direct replacement for the 2004-2007 Toyota Highlander. The Buyer's Guide tab shows every vehicle it fits.
What does a spare tire hoist do?
It raises and lowers the spare tire and holds it in its stowed position. This lets you lower the spare when you need it and store it again afterward.
What are signs the spare tire hoist may need replacing?
Signs include a hoist that is visibly rusted or corroded, sticks or will not turn, or will not lower or raise the spare. Inspect the hoist to confirm it is the cause before replacing it.
How is this hoist installed?
Remove the spare tire, unbolt the original hoist and bolt this replacement into place. Consult the vehicle service information for the correct fasteners and whether the originals may be reused.
Will it look exactly like my original hoist?
Its appearance may vary slightly from the original part, but it functions the same. It is also specially coated to help resist rust and corrosion.
