If a worn front outer joint is behind your loose, wandering steering, the Dorman - OE Solutions Steering Tie Rod End 544-351 replaces it. This unit ships with a Dorman tie rod boot that helps keep dirt and moisture out of the joint, and it drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 2003-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer and 2003-2006 Mitsubishi Outlander. The tie rod end links the steering linkage to the knuckle so input from the wheel turns the front wheels.
