Do the rotors need to be cleaned before installation?
No. The GEOSPEC coated rotors are processed and shipped dry and are ready to install with no additional pre-degreasing; the coating is safely swept away by the pads.
Should I replace both sides at once?
For even, balanced braking it's best to service both sides of the axle together as a matched set rather than one side at a time.
