Dynamic Friction Company Disc Brake Kit P/N:4512-48124
Refresh your front brakes in a single box with the Dynamic Friction Company Disc Brake Kit 4512-13078, a front-axle package that pairs DFC GEOSPEC coated rotors, DFC 5000 ceramic brake pads, and the matching hardware kit. Designed to meet the same form, fit, and function as the OEM parts with no modifications required, it installs on the 2004-2006 Subaru Baja, 2009-2010 Subaru Forester, 2009-2010 Subaru Impreza, 2006-2012 Subaru Legacy, and 2005-2012 Subaru Outback (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine details).
Each rotor ships dry and ready to install with no pre-degreasing needed — the coating is simply swept away by the friction material. For even, balanced braking, service both front sides together.
What's included in this kit?
This front-axle kit supplies DFC GEOSPEC coated rotors, DFC 5000 ceramic brake pads, and the DFC disc brake hardware kit — the rotors, pads, and hardware needed for the front axle in one package.
Which vehicles does it fit?
It's a direct-fit front replacement for the 2004-2006 Subaru Baja, 2009-2010 Subaru Forester, 2009-2010 Subaru Impreza, 2006-2012 Subaru Legacy, and 2005-2012 Subaru Outback. See the Buyer's Guide tab for engine details.
What are the rotors made of and how are they coated?
The rotors use G3000/G11H18 iron castings with a GEOSPEC coating — a special paint that forms a durable silver-gray finish providing corrosion protection over conventional paint or zinc coatings.
What kind of brake pads are in the kit?
DFC 5000 ceramic pads that are 100% asbestos-free, post-cured, and scorched to minimize break-in. They use Rubber-Steel-Rubber shims for improved noise, vibration, and harshness during everyday street driving.
Do I need to clean the rotors before installing?
No. Each rotor is processed and shipped dry and is ready to install with no additional pre-degreasing; the coating is safely swept away by the friction material during use.
