What is the GEOSPEC coating on the rotors?
It's a special paint that forms a durable silver-gray finish DFC states fights rust far better than conventional paint or zinc coatings. Rotors ship dry and ready to install with no pre-degreasing.
Are the brake pads ceramic and asbestos-free?
Yes. The DFC 5000 Advanced pads use a ceramic, 100% asbestos-free formulation, post-cured and scorched, with Rubber-Steel-Rubber shims for improved noise, vibration, and harshness.
Do I need to prepare the rotors before installing?
No. Each rotor is processed dry, shipped dry, and ready to install with no additional pre-degreasing, which can save time during the brake job.
