Is this a front or rear kit?
It is a rear-axle disc brake kit. For balanced, even braking, it's best practice to service both wheels on the axle at the same time.
Are the pads ceramic, and what are the benefits?
Yes, the DFC 5000 pads use a ceramic formulation. Compared with conventional semi-metallic pads, ceramic typically produces less visible dust and quieter, smoother stops during everyday street driving.
Do the rotors need cleaning before installation?
No. The GEOSPEC coated rotors are processed dry, shipped dry, and ready to install without additional pre-degreasing; the coating is swept away by the pads during bed-in.
