Do I need to clean the rotors before installing?
No. GEOSPEC coated rotors ship dry and ready to install with no additional pre-degreasing needed; the coating is swept away by the pads during bed-in.
What are the pads made of?
They're DFC 5000 Advanced ceramic pads with a 100% asbestos-free formulation, post-cured and scorched, and fitted with rubber-steel-rubber shims to help reduce noise and vibration.
Should I replace both sides at once?
Yes. Replacing the rear brakes on both sides together as a matched set is recommended for even, balanced braking.
