The Dynamic Friction brake rotor, part number 900-74031, is a high-carbon alloy rear rotor with a GEOMET coating, built for smooth, even stops. Dynamic Friction Company (DFC) coats the rotor with GEOMET for high-performance corrosion protection. It also holds disc thickness variation (DTV) and lateral runout to set maximum limits.
As a disc brake rotor wears, you may notice a pulsing pedal or vibration when braking, grinding or squealing, or visible grooves and scoring on the braking surface. Any of these can be a sign that the rotor may need replacing, so inspect the brakes to confirm the cause. Replacing both rear rotors together as a matched pair is recommended for even, balanced braking.
