It installs as a direct-fit replacement in the rear left forward position on the 1972-1980 Toyota Land Cruiser (All engines), restoring hydraulic actuation to that drum brake.

When brake fluid enters the cylinder, its two pistons move outward to spread the shoes against the drum; leaking cups, a seized piston, or fluid weeping past the boots are common signs a wheel cylinder may need replacing.
