Signs the parking brake shoes may need replacing include a parking brake that won't hold on an incline, a lever/pedal that travels farther than normal, or worn, contaminated or scored friction material. If worn shoes are the cause, this REAR shoe replaces them. Replacing both sides together is recommended for even, balanced holding.

The shoe is 100% new carbon steel dipped in high-temp anti-rust black corrosion paint, with a semi-metallic friction lining.

It is bonded or riveted per OE specifications, and the lining is glue-treated to promote friction-material-to-steel bonding.
