Help keep the rear of your car settled and composed over bumps with this 2018-2022 Honda Accord shock absorber from Focus Auto Parts, part number 346555. It is a direct-fit replacement for the rear position on the 2018-2022 Honda Accord, all engines.
A shock absorber dampens the up-and-down motion of the springs. It is designed to help keep the tires in contact with the road and to control body movement over bumps, dips and uneven pavement. The manufacturer lists this unit as a shock absorber with the following specifications:
The listed applications use two rear shocks. Replacing both sides together is recommended so the rear suspension damps evenly from side to side.
As this shock absorber wears, several signs may point to it needing replacement: the rear keeps bouncing after a bump, the rear squats noticeably under acceleration, fluid seeps from the shock body, or the tires show uneven, cupped wear. Because other suspension parts can cause similar symptoms, diagnose the cause before replacing. Consult the vehicle service information for installation steps and the correct fasteners.
