This complete strut and coil spring assembly comes with the strut and its coil spring already together as one unit. You do not have to remove the old spring and move it onto a new strut. The strut damps suspension movement, and the coil spring helps support the vehicle at that corner.

A strut assembly may need replacing if you notice excessive bouncing after bumps, fluid leaking from the strut body, a sagging or uneven ride height, knocking over bumps, or uneven tire wear. Replacing both rear sides at the same time is recommended for even, balanced handling.
