A worn strut can show up as a bouncy ride, fluid on the strut body or a clunk over bumps, and a broken or sagging spring can change how the corner sits. Before you replace the assembly, rule out worn tires, tired control arm bushings and a loose sway bar link, since they can make similar noises.
