Signs a front strut assembly may need replacing include excessive bouncing after bumps, nose-dive under braking, fluid seeping from the strut body, a sagging front ride height, clunks over bumps and uneven tire wear. Other suspension parts can cause the same symptoms, so diagnose the cause before replacing. Replacing both front struts together is generally recommended for even ride and handling from side to side. A wheel alignment check after installation is also advised.
