Four Seasons A/C Accumulator P/N:33068
Keep your air conditioning dry and clean with the Four Seasons A/C Accumulator, MPN 33099 — a direct-fit replacement for a range of 1994-1996 Ford full-size vans. It installs on the 1995-1996 Ford Club Wagon, 1994-1996 Ford E150/E250/E350 Van and E-150/E-250/E-350 Econoline (including Econoline Club Wagon), plus the 1996 Ford HD E Super Duty and Econoline Super Duty; see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full application and engine details.
The accumulator / filter drier acts as a filter, removing moisture and contaminants from the A/C system — contaminants that flushing cannot clear, which is why replacing it during service is essential. Moisture absorption is handled by an internal desiccant bag; a leaking or "open" system can saturate that bag within a few hours, leaving the unit ineffective.
Replacement is required to validate compressor warranty and should be done anytime the A/C system is serviced.
What does this A/C accumulator do?
It acts as a filter, removing moisture and contaminants from the air conditioning system, and uses an internal desiccant bag to absorb moisture that circulates with the refrigerant.
Does it fit my vehicle?
It's a direct-fit replacement for listed 1994-1996 Ford vans, including the Club Wagon, E150/E250/E350 Van and E-150/E-250/E-350 Econoline models. Check the Buyer's Guide tab to confirm your application.
Are seals included for installation?
Yes. The necessary gaskets, o-rings and seal are included to help make installation easier.
Why should I replace the accumulator when servicing the A/C?
Contaminants can't be removed by flushing, and a saturated desiccant bag becomes ineffective. Replacement is required to validate compressor warranty and should be done anytime the system is serviced.
How does the desiccant become saturated?
Moisture is absorbed through a desiccant bag. A leaking or "open" system can saturate the bag within a few hours, making the accumulator / filter drier ineffective.
