Four Seasons A/C Compressor P/N:57353
Restore cold-air performance on your classic GM or AMC ride with the Four Seasons GM R4 Remanufactured A/C Compressor 57231. This remanufactured R4-style compressor drops in as a direct-fit replacement across a broad list of 1974-1993 applications, including the 1977-1985 Buick Century, 1977-1990 Chevrolet Caprice, 1975-1986 Chevrolet C10, 1978-1985 Cadillac DeVille, and 1980-1981 American Motors Concord. It is the pump that pressurizes and circulates refrigerant through the A/C system so the rest of the loop can produce cold air.
Specs: R134A refrigerant, PAG 150 compatible oil, 12V DC clutch coil at the 12 o'clock position, single-groove V-belt pulley (5.000 in outside diameter, 0.500 in belt width), spade connector, and case-mount design. The clutch is included; the high-pressure switch and mounting hardware are not. If a failed compressor is the cause of weak or no cold air, noise, or a seized clutch, this replaces it. Consult the vehicle service information for the correct mounting fasteners and whether they may be reused.
